Care Instructions

• Vacuum the rug on both sides and the floor under the rug regularly. Never use the brush when vacuuming and adjust the suction strength of your vacuum. Avoid vacuuming the edge/binding or fringe of the rug as it may cause damage. Rugs with pile should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile.

• The rug has an unlined back that may be slippery on the floor. Therefore, we recommend using rug underlay for anti-slip protection and to protect the floor.

• Rugs with long pile need to be brushed regularly to maintain the fibre's appearance. Use a wide-toothed comb.

• Wool rugs may pill, especially those with pile. This is completely normal and a characteristic of the fibre. Pilling may be most noticeable when the rug is new. However, there is no guarantee that pilling will decrease over time. Vacuum the rug regularly with a brush head to remove excess fibres from production. We also recommend shaking the rug before use to fluff up the pile and remove excess wool.

• Rotate the rug in the room regularly to expose and wear it evenly.

• Always remove minor stains immediately when they occur. Blot wet stains with dry paper towels.
• Dry stains should be gently scraped from the fibre's tip, scraping from the edges of the stain towards the centre. Then, moisten a clean, colourless cloth or sponge with lukewarm water and mild soap. Lather the solution with lukewarm water before applying. Do not rub the stain as it may make it more difficult to remove. Blot up the liquid and repeat until the stain is gone.
• Avoid using strong chemicals for treating stains at home. Tough stains should be treated by a professional as soon as possible after the stain occurs to increase the chances of cleaning the fibre.

• Always take your rug to a reputable laundry for professional flat washing. Classic Collection rugs should not be machine or dry cleaned.

• All new rugs have a distinct odour that will dissipate over time. Ventilating or vacuuming the rug will help the odour disappear more quickly.
