Merino Round Wool Rug Dark Green Ø200

A thick and luxurious, handwoven rug in dark green wool with a round shape. A dirt-repellent wool rug that is reversible. The natural fats of the wool make the rug resistant to dirt and stains in an effective way. Any dirt settles on the surface and is best removed by vacuuming or airing.

The round rug has a smoother finish (See detail image) compared to the rectangular variant, as the rugs are woven in different ways.

Size: Ø200 cm
Thickness: 1.5 cm

Classic Collections rugs are handmade by professional Indian weavers, making each rug completely unique and some minor deviations in pattern, colour, and size may occur. These deviations are what make Classic Collections products so unique. Each produced Classic Collection rug creates jobs and contributes to the preservation of old craft traditions. The rugs are certified by Care & Fair, guaranteeing that they are produced without illegal child labour, under humane working conditions, and at fair wages. This also means that money is donated back to the families in the rug weaving districts. The money goes towards the children, enabling regular schooling and healthcare.

Care Instructions:

• Vacuum the rug regularly and not with a brush.
• Only leave the rug for professional cleaning.
• To reduce wear on both the rug and the floor, use a rug underlay. These can be found among the optional extras.
• Pills may occur where the rug is subjected to heavy traffic, moving of furniture, vacuum cleaner nozzle with a brush, or other stressful handling. Vacuum your rug before removing the pills, use a pill remover or scissors. Be careful to only remove the fluff and not damage the rug deeply. Finish by vacuuming the rug in the direction of the pile.

Please note that pilling is a normal behaviour for this type of rug and usually calms down over time. This is also a characteristic of all finer wool rugs. It is good to know that pilling/fluffy rugs are not a manufacturing defect, but characteristic of this type of manufacturing technique and material. It also depends largely on usage and maintenance.
