• Shedding is a normal behaviour for this type of rug, which usually diminishes over time, although note that the rug may always shed to some extent. Shedding rugs are not a manufacturing defect but characteristic of this type of manufacturing technique and material.
• Rotate the rug in the room regularly to expose it evenly to wear.
• Always remove minor stains immediately when they occur. Wet stains should be blotted with dry paper towels. Dry stains should be gently scraped off the fibre's pile, scraping from the edges towards the centre. Then, apply lukewarm water on an uncoloured cloth or sponge. Dampen the stain with a damp uncoloured cloth and a mild soap or detergent. Lather the solution with lukewarm water before applying. Do not rub the stain as it may make it harder to remove. Blot up the liquid and repeat until the stain is gone.

• More stubborn stains should be treated by a professional promptly after they occur as it increases the chances of cleaning the fibre effectively.
