Care Instructions

• Vacuum the rug on both sides and the floor underneath regularly. Never use the brush roll when vacuuming and adjust the suction strength. Avoid vacuuming the rug's edges or fringes as they may get damaged. Rugs with pile should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile.

• The rug has an unlined back that may be slippery on the floor. We recommend using rug underlay for grip and to protect the floor.

• Rugs with long pile need regular brushing to maintain the fibre's appearance. Use a wide-toothed comb.

• Wool rugs may pill, especially those with pile. This is normal and a characteristic of the fibre. Pilling may be more noticeable when the rug is new. However, there is no guarantee that it will decrease over time. Vacuum the rug regularly with a brush head to remove excess fibres from production. We also recommend shaking the rug before use to fluff up the pile and remove excess wool.

• Regularly rotate the rug in the room to expose it evenly to wear.

• Always remove minor stains immediately. Blot wet stains with dry paper towels.
• For dry stains, gently scrape from the edges towards the centre. Then, use lukewarm water on an uncoloured cloth or sponge. Dampen the stain with a moist uncoloured cloth and mild soap or detergent. Lather the solution with lukewarm water before applying. Avoid rubbing the stain as it may make it harder to remove. Blot the liquid and repeat until the stain is gone.
• Avoid using strong chemicals for home stain treatment. Tough stains should be handled by professionals, preferably soon after they occur to increase the chances of fibre cleanliness.

• Always take your rug to a reputable laundry for professional flat washing. Classic Collection rugs should not be machine or dry cleaned.

• All new rugs have a distinct odour that dissipates over time. Ventilating or vacuuming the rug helps the odour disappear faster.
