Care Instructions

• Vacuum the rug on both sides and the floor under the rug regularly. Never use the brush attachment when vacuuming and adjust the suction strength of your vacuum. Never vacuum the edge/binding or fringes of the rug as they may get damaged. Rugs with pile should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile.

• The rug has an unlined back that may be slippery on the floor. Therefore, we recommend using rug underlay for anti-slip protection and to protect the floor.

• Rugs with long pile need to be brushed regularly to maintain the fibre's appearance. Use a wide-toothed comb.

• Wool rugs may pill, especially those with a pile. This is completely normal and a characteristic of the fibre. Pilling may be most intense when the rug is brand new. However, there are no guarantees that pilling will decrease over time. Vacuum the rug regularly with a brush head to remove excess fibres from production. We also recommend shaking the rug before use to fluff up the pile and remove excess wool.

• Rotate the rug in the room regularly to expose it evenly to wear.

• Always remove minor stains immediately when they occur. Blot wet stains with dry paper towels.
• Dry stains should be gently scraped from the edge towards the centre of the stain. Then, use lukewarm water on an unfurnished cloth or sponge. Moisten the stain with a damp unfurnished cloth and mild soap or detergent. Lather the product with lukewarm water before applying it. Do not rub the stain as it may make it harder to remove. Blot the liquid and repeat until the stain is gone.
• Avoid using strong chemicals for treating stains at home. Tough stains should be treated by a professional as soon as possible after the stain occurs, as this increases the chances of cleaning the fibre effectively.

• Always take your rug to a reputable laundry for professional flat washing. Classic Collection rugs should not be machine or dry cleaned.

• All new rugs have a distinct odour that will dissipate over time. The odour will disappear faster if you air out or vacuum the rug.
