Merino Wool Rug Oat 300x400

A thick and lovely, handwoven wool rug in a earthy colour. A dirt-repellent wool rug that is reversible. The natural fats of the wool make the rug resistant to dirt and stains in an effective way. Any dirt will settle on the surface and can be easily removed by vacuuming or airing.

Size: 300 x 400 cm
Thickness: 1.5 cm

Classic Collections rugs are handcrafted by professional Indian weavers, making each rug completely unique, with slight variations in pattern, colour, and size. These deviations are what make Classic Collections products so special. Each produced Classic Collection rug creates jobs and contributes to the preservation of old craft traditions. The rugs are certified by Care & Fair, ensuring that they are produced without illegal child labour, under humane working conditions and at fair wages. This also means that money is donated back to the families in the rug weaving districts. The funds go towards the children, enabling regular schooling and healthcare.

Care Instructions:

• Regularly vacuum the rug without using a brush.
• Only have the rug professionally cleaned.
• To reduce wear on both the rug and the floor, use a rug underlay. These can be found among the optional extras.
• Pills may appear where the rug is exposed to heavy traffic, furniture movement, vacuum cleaner brush, or other stressful handling. Vacuum your rug before removing the pills, use a pill remover or scissors. Be careful to only remove the fluff and not damage the rug deeply. Finish by vacuuming the rug in the direction of the pile.

Please note that pilling is a normal behaviour for this type of rug and usually subsides over time. This is also a characteristic of all finer wool rugs. It is worth knowing that pilling/fluffing rugs is not a manufacturing defect, but characteristic of this type of manufacturing technique and material. It also largely depends on usage and maintenance.

Classic Collections products are handmade and therefore completely unique. This means that variations in pattern, colour, and size may occur. These deviations create a lively and unique product. Take good care of your new rug and it will adorn your home for a long time.
