Topaz is a hand-tufted rug made of a blend of wool and viscose. The rug is mainly made of wool with a smaller, shiny part made of viscose. The fields in the rug feature different tufting techniques that provide multiple textures to the rug. Where the fields meet, they are hand-clipped as a framing to the different textures.

Care Instructions
Vacuum often and thoroughly:Â
- Vacuum the rug on both sides and the floor underneath regularly. Never use the brush attachment when vacuuming and adjust the suction strength. Avoid vacuuming the rug's edge/binding or fringe as it may cause damage. Rugs with pile should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile.
Rug underlay:Â
- The rug has an unlined back that may be slippery on the floor. Therefore, we recommend using rug underlay for grip and floor protection.
Pilling:Â
- Wool rugs may pill, especially those with pile. This is normal and a characteristic of the fibre. Pilling may be most noticeable when the rug is new. However, there are no guarantees that pilling will decrease over time. Vacuum the rug regularly with a beater bar attachment to remove excess fibres from production. We also recommend shaking the rug before use to fluff up the pile and remove excess wool.
Rotate the rug:Â
- Rotate the rug in the room regularly to expose it evenly to wear.
Stains:Â
- Always remove minor stains promptly. Blot up wet stains with dry paper towels.
- For dry stains, gently scrape off the fibres using the edge of a spoon, scraping from the edges towards the centre. Then, dampen a clean, colourless cloth or sponge with lukewarm water and mild soap or detergent. Work up the suds with lukewarm water before applying. Do not rub the stain as it may make it harder to remove. Blot up the liquid and repeat until the stain is gone.
- Avoid using strong chemicals for at-home stain treatment. Tougher stains should be treated by a professional promptly after they occur to increase the chances of fibre restoration.
Professional rug cleaning:Â
- Always take your rug to a reputable cleaner for professional flat washing. Classic Collection rugs should not be machine or dry cleaned.
Additional information:Â
- All new rugs have a distinct odour that will dissipate over time. Ventilating or vacuuming the rug will help the odour dissipate faster.
