Unique material in real natural stone

Sunday is made of travertine, a naturally porous limestone formed over time in nature. The brushed and unvarnished surface emphasises the natural variations of the stone, creating a vibrant and rustic look. The stone has been sanded to achieve a smooth but tactile surface that feels warm and natural to the touch.

Grinding for a smooth finish

During production, each disc is sanded to achieve a uniform and pleasant surface. Small sanding marks may occur, which are a natural feature of the processing and enhance the sense of craftsmanship and authenticity.

Natural variations make each slab unique

Travertine has natural variations in colour and grain, which means that no two tabletops are alike. In some areas there may be hints of red or warm colours, while other surfaces are more homogeneous. Crack-like veins can be seen, but these are not damage but natural patterns that occur in the stone's formation process.

Characteristic features of natural stone

Two distinct characteristics of travertine are:

Calcite, which can be seen as crystal-like patterns where lime has been deposited from water veins.

Sand pits, small natural cavities formed during the creation of the stone and often visible as small pits in the surface.
