Kinnabädden has 60 years of experience in building beds. They have taken good care of the traditions from our earlier years and from the countryside around us. The result is a bed series that both rests securely on tradition and has been developed to meet today's demands for comfort, longevity and value for money. When they build a bed, we start with coils, padding and upholstery. There aren't many electronic whirrs coming from their production line. Instead, there are people building, monitoring and adjusting their beds. Skilled seamstresses and fitters ensure that every new bed from Kinnabädden is just as good as the one that just left the factory. But artisanal production doesn't necessarily mean expensive production. They use skilled craftsmen where needed and utilise modern production capacity where necessary. In this way, they have created the conditions for high quality and the possibility to realise the dream of a Scandinavian quality bed. Frame, coils, padding and upholstery. Wood, steel, filling and fabric. These are the basic components of a Kinnabädden bed. They choose materials based on several criteria: function, durability, look and feel.
The frame is the base. It is made of heavy Swedish wood, an optimal material for making furniture. It is strong, tough and does not weaken with ageing, quite the opposite.Their Pocket Springs are made of spring steel, heat-treated and enclosed one by one in specially sewn bags. A large number of these bags form the core of their mattresses. Depending on the model, the filling is a composite of fibre wadding, felt and latex. Their fibre wadding is called Microfelt and is a four-channel polyester fibre with outstanding durability and resilience. Latex is made up of millions of cells that make the material self-ventilating. Their beds are upholstered with a fabric that is designed, manufactured and finished to last and look good for the life of the bed. All their textiles are tested and approved according to Ökotex standard 100.
