Wool rugs shed, especially rugs with pile. This is completely normal and one of the fibre's characteristics. Shedding may sometimes be most intense when the rug is brand new. However, there are no guarantees that shedding will decrease over time.
Wool is sensitive to direct sunlight.
If a minor stain occurs on the rug, dissolve mild soap or detergent in lukewarm water immediately. Do not use chemicals. Work from the outside in and then blot the stain.
