Soho Wool Rug

Sleepo'sown Soho rug in the softest wool and collaboration with the Classic Collection is the perfect wool rug. There are many advantages to choosing a wool rug. They are naturally dirt-repellent, extremely durable and have a long lifespan if cared for properly. Please note that shedding is a normal behaviour for this type of carpet and usually calms down over time. This is also a characteristic of all fine wool carpets. It may be useful to know that knotting/linting carpets is not a manufacturing defect, but characteristic of this type of manufacturing technique and material. It is also largely a matter of use and maintenance.

Care instructions
Vacuum the carpet regularly, but only without a brush. Vacuum on both sides. To reduce wear and tear on both the carpet and the floor, use a carpet underlay. You can find these among the options. Avoid dragging furniture back and forth across the carpet. Use furniture paws/wheel guards under sofa legs and table legs. Pimples can occur where the carpet is exposed to heavy traffic, moving furniture, vacuum cleaner nozzles with brushes or other strenuous handling.
Vacuum your carpet before stripping it, using a stripper or scissors. Be careful to remove only the lint and not to damage the carpet deeply. Finish by vacuuming the carpet in the direction of the pile. Do not expose the carpet to direct sunlight and always remove stains immediately when they occur. Smaller stains can usually be removed with a light, clean & damp cloth and gall soap or washing-up liquid. Lather up the agent with lukewarm water before applying it. Then gently wipe away the stain. It is important not to "rub".
Always take your carpet to a launderette for professional cleaning. After washing, the carpet may in some cases become "bubbly" this usually disappears after use. Avoid dry cleaning if possible as the liquids dry out the fibres and rotate the rug regularly for even wear.
