FLUFFY FLOKATI WOOL RUG
Fluffy Flokati is made from the softest wool, making it extra fluffy and comfortable to walk on. The rug's long, thick pile gives a luxurious feeling of walking on clouds, making it a perfect interior detail for any room. Hand-woven in Greece using traditional weaving techniques, it is made from 100% pure new premium New Zealand wool - a material renowned for its durability and comfort.
QUALITY & FEEL
Fluffy is an exceptionally soft rug made from 100% pure new premium wool from New Zealand of the highest quality. Our rug is made using an extra generous amount of material (2800 g/m²), creating a fuller and more luxurious feel. The long pile is wonderfully soft and instantly adds a cozy feel to any room. Wool is also naturally dirt-repellent and durable, with a long lifespan when the rug is cared for correctly.
PRODUCTION
Our Flokati rugs are produced in Greece, where they are handwoven using traditional methods. The production technique is the same as the one used when Flokati rugs first began to be made several hundred years ago, meaning each rug reflects authentic Greek craftsmanship.
One unique part of the Flokati production process takes place after the rugs have been woven, when they are placed in so-called “Water Mills” – natural waterways in Greece’s Pindus mountain range. The rugs remain there for several hours, swirling in the strong currents of the cold mountain water. This process gives Flokati its distinctive shaggy, lively appearance and wonderfully fluffy feel. The rugs are then hung outdoors to dry naturally in the sun.
Before the rugs are sent to us at Sleepo, they undergo strict quality controls to ensure that every rug meets the highest possible standards.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Wool is naturally dirt-repellent and durable, with a long lifespan when the rug is cared for correctly.
The rug has an unlined backing that may feel slippery against the floor. We therefore recommend using a rug pad to prevent slipping and help protect the floor.
Shake the rug before use to fluff up the pile and remove excess wool fibres.
Wool rugs shed, especially rugs with a longer pile. This is completely normal and a natural characteristic of the fibre. Shedding can sometimes be most noticeable when the rug is brand new. However, there is no guarantee that shedding will decrease over time.
Vacuum the rug regularly and very gently with the brush retracted or without a brush to remove excess fibres.
If possible, we recommend shaking and airing the rug regularly.
Rotate the rug regularly to ensure even wear.
Do not dry clean.

Care instructions for your Fluffy Flokati rug
To keep your Fluffy Flokati rug in top condition, we recommend a few simple care tips. The natural dirt-repellent properties of wool make it easier to keep clean, but it is important to treat it gently. Shake the rug before use to fluff up the pile and remove excess wool. When vacuuming, use a soft brushless nozzle to avoid damaging the pile.
As the Fluffy Flokati has an unlined back, it may be slippery on the floor. We recommend using an anti-slip mat to keep the rug in place and protect your floor. Linting is a natural behaviour of this type of carpet and is not a manufacturing defect. Fluffing will diminish over time, but may continue to some extent. Rotate your carpet regularly to distribute wear and extend its life.
