Rugs come in many different sizes and this is also true for our Fluffy. With a range starting at 70x140 and going up to 300x400*, there really is a Fluffy for every space. The most common sizes are 170x240 and 200x300 , which usually fit perfectly with the majority of sofas and living room environments. Fluffy Vit is also available as a round rug in sizes Ø160 & Ø200.

If no size really suits you, you can also place two Fluffy next to each other to create an extra large, cosy surface. Due to the long pile of the rug, it is easy to hide the joint.

Quality & feel

Fluffy is without a doubt an absolutely gorgeous rug made from 100% pure, new premium wool from New Zealand of the highest possible quality. Our rug is made with extra material (2800g/sqm) which creates a fuller and more luxurious feel. The long pile is fantastically soft and adds to the cosiness factor in any room the rug is placed in. Wool is also a naturally dirt-repellent material that is durable and has a long lifespan if cared for properly.

production

Our Flokati rugs are produced in Greece where they are traditionally woven by hand. The manufacturing technique is the same as used when Flokatin began to be produced several hundred years ago and the rugs therefore reflect a genuine Greek craft.

What is unique about the production of Flokati carpets is that when they are ready to be woven, they are placed in so-called "Water Mills" - natural streams in the Greek mountain range of Pindos. There, the rugs are left for several hours to swirl in the strong currents of the cold mountain water. This is what gives Flokatin its shaggy, vibrant look and fluffy feel. They are then hung to dry outdoors where the sun can do its work.

Before the rugs are sent to us at Sleepo, they undergo strict quality controls to ensure that all rugs are of the highest possible standard.

care advice

• Wool is naturally dirt-repellent, durable and has a long lifespan if cared for properly.

• The carpet has an unlined backing which can feel slippery against the floor. We therefore recommend using carpet underlay to prevent slipping and to protect the floor.

• Shake the carpet before use to fluff up the pile and remove excess wool.

• Wool carpets shed, especially wool carpets with pile. This is perfectly normal and one of the properties of the fibre. Linting can sometimes be experienced most intensely when the carpet is brand new. However, there is no guarantee that linting will decrease over time.

• Vacuum the carpet regularly and very gently with a recessed brush head/no brush to get rid of excess fibres.

• If possible, we recommend shaking and airing the carpet at regular intervals.

• Rotate the carpet regularly for even wear.

• Do not dry clean.
