Material and Surface
This product is made of natural stone, specifically travertine. The surface is brushed and unlacquered to enhance the stone's natural veining, structure, and variation. This treatment gives a more lively and authentic impression that enhances the feeling of genuine natural stone.

Unique Character
Travertine is characterized by its lively expression where each stone block has its own unique colour, structure, and veining patterns. Natural colour variations in the stone are common, with elements of, for example, reddish-brown streaks. These shades arise naturally through minerals such as iron oxide in the bedrock.

Natural Marks and Structure
Two characteristics that show the authenticity of travertine are calcite and sand pit:

• Calcite: Formed when lime solidifies in water veins and appears as areas with crushed crystal structures.

• Sand Pit: Occurs when air bubbles are trapped in the stone during the formation process and appears as small cavities, ranging from a few millimetres to centimetres in size.

Variation and Authenticity
Large colour variations and irregularities on the surface are a natural part of travertine's character. Each stone is unique in its appearance, making no surface the same as another. It is precisely these variations that contribute to the stone's exclusive and natural feel.
