Surface treatment
Treat the marble top a few times with a suitable stone protector or a thin layer of paraffin oil, also known as white oil. Let the oil sit on the surface for a few minutes before wiping off and polishing with a soft cloth. This provides the stone with some protection against stains and facilitates cleaning.

Protect against spills and acids
Marble is sensitive to spills, especially from acidic substances. Therefore, always wipe up spills immediately, especially those like wine, coffee, fruit juice, carbonated drinks, vinegar, or acetic acid. Otherwise, they can cause stains or etching on the stone.

Cleaning
For daily cleaning, a damp cloth and regular soapy water are sufficient. Never use acidic cleaners or products for removing lime, such as toilet cleaners, as they can cause serious damage to the marble surface. For heavier dirt, pure alcohol or thinner can be used. Then wipe off with a water-damp cloth.

Handling grease stains
For grease stains, try gently warming the surface with a hairdryer. Then sprinkle potato flour over the stain and let it sit for an hour to absorb the grease. Wipe the surface with a soft cloth.

Protect the surface during use
Always use coasters for glass, cups, and porcelain to reduce the risk of etching and stains. Avoid placing very hot or moist objects directly on the marble top.
