For tougher stains
Use a solution of lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap. Avoid strong chemicals such as ammonia, alcohol, acetone, bleach, or abrasives, as these can dissolve or damage the finish.

Protection and prevention
Use coasters for glass, cups, vases, and hot objects to protect the surface. Furniture pads under objects prevent scratches. Avoid direct sunlight, as UV radiation can bleach the wood and dry out the finish over time. Do not place the table near heaters or other heat sources, as this can cause the finish to crack.
