Chunky Coffee Table Poplar 130x70

Chunky Coffee Table is part of the Sleepo Collection, our own handpicked range of timeless furniture exclusively available at Sleepo. With its powerful rectangular shape and modern aesthetic, it becomes a stylish focal point in the living room.

Robust Design with Clean Lines

The coffee table has a sturdy and chunky construction with wide legs and a deep tabletop that creates a powerful and balanced feel. The straight lines and stripped-down design give the table a modern expression that fits well in both minimalist and warm interiors.

Natural Poplar Veneer Surface

Poplar veneer in natural wild Poplar - a living surface material that bears traces of its origin and history. Here, knots and natural variations emerge, lifting the unique character of the wood and giving each surface its own expression.

These natural variations are not defects - on the contrary, they are evidence of the material's authenticity and part of its charm. Each surface tells its own story and contributes to the vibrant, organic impression that poplar veneer with natural character provides. The colour and pattern can vary from natural oak to white oiled, and each piece is unique in its colour shifts and patterns.

Perfect for a Coherent Interior

With its generous dimensions of 130x70 cm, Chunky Coffee Table fits perfectly in both larger and smaller living rooms. Its clean yet powerful design makes it easy to combine with other furniture from the Sleepo Collection for a harmonious and thoughtful interior.

Daily Cleaning
Use a soft microfibre cloth, dry or lightly dampened with water, to clean the surface. For light dirt, lukewarm water together with a mild, pH-neutral dish soap works well. Always dry thoroughly after cleaning to avoid water spots and prevent water from seeping into joints.

For Tougher Stains
For tougher stains, you can use a solution of lukewarm water and a small amount of mild soap. Avoid strong chemicals, such as products containing ammonia, alcohol, acetone, bleach, or abrasive substances, as these can dissolve or damage the lacquer surface.

Protection and Preventive Measures
To protect the furniture and preserve the surface, always use coasters for glass, copper, vases, and hot objects. Place furniture pads or felt pads under objects placed on the furniture to prevent scratches. Avoid placing the furniture in direct sunlight as UV radiation can bleach the wood and dry out the lacquer. Keep the furniture away from radiators or other heat sources that may cause the lacquer to crack. For best results, maintain room humidity at a stable level, around 40–60%, as dry air can cause the wood to crack or swell.

Polishing and Maintenance
Lacquered furniture does not need to be oiled as the lacquer provides a protective, sealed surface. To freshen up the shine, you can use a furniture polish suitable for lacquered surfaces. If you want to be able to re-lacquer the furniture in the future, choose a polish without silicone or wax. Minor, surface scratches can sometimes be diminished with polish or gently polished away with a very fine polishing cloth, without using abrasive materials.

Things to Avoid
Never leave wet cloths, pots, or other damp objects directly on the surface as it can cause water rings. Do not use scouring pads, steel wool, or sponges with abrasive surfaces as these can scratch the lacquer. Also, avoid placing very heavy objects directly on thin parts of the furniture, as point loads can lead to cracks in the lacquer surface.
