Washing instructions: Machine wash 40 degrees. Wash in a bag for the first wash as it may shed extra lint for the first wash.
Care instructions:
- Vacuum often and thoroughly: Loose fibres and lint may occur during washing and use. Vacuum the rug on both sides and the floor under the rug regularly. Never use the brush extended when vacuuming and adjust the strength of your vacuum cleaner. Never vacuum the edge/binding or fringes of the rug as it may damage them. Rugs with pile should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile.
- Stains: Always remove simple stains immediately when they occur. Wet stains should be absorbed with dry household paper.
Dry stains should be gently scraped from the fibre's ty, scrape from the edges of the stain towards the centre. Then take lukewarm water on an uncoloured cloth or sponge. Moisten the stain with a damp uncoloured cloth and gall soap or mild uncoloured soap. Foam the agent with lukewarm water before applying. Do not rub the stain as it may make it harder to remove. Then absorb the liquid and repeat until the stain is gone.
Do not use strong chemicals when treating stains at home. Tougher stains should be treated by a professional and preferably shortly after the stain occurs as it increases the chances of cleaning the fibre.
- Machine wash: Loose fibres and lint may occur during washing and use. Make sure you have emptied the lint filter of the washing machine before the first wash of the rug as it sheds extra fibres.
- Rug washing by professional: Always take your rug to a reputable laundry for professional washing. Classic Collection's rugs should not be dry cleaned.
- Other info: All new rugs have a distinct smell that will dissipate over time. The odour disappears faster if you air or vacuum the rug.
