Join Sleepo at Casa de las Estrellas - Pernilla Wahlgren's new house in Marbella, Spain!
Pernilla, one of Sweden's most popular artists, influencers and TV personalities, already has a house in Marbella that she calls Casa Rosa. A few months ago, she decided to buy a larger house in the same area to have a home where the whole family can fit. In the house Casa de las Estrellas she has thought that she will grow old and that children, grandchildren and friends can gather and socialise. We at Sleepo had the great honour of visiting and decorating the house!
Since the house has an older feel, where pastels and too many strong colours don't really fit in, Pernilla wanted to go for a calmer and lighter colour scheme. We decided to decorate with some of our favourites from the Sleeporange, where the tones are natural white and beige.
The house purchase included all the furniture and we at Sleepo were given free rein to change and redesign. To preserve the authentic Spanish feel, we chose to keep a lot of the older furniture and mix with modern design objects from our own range. It was a successful result and created a lovely balance between the old and the new.
Don't we all dream of a really cosy and relaxing Bedroom?
Pernilla Wahlgren is no exception. In her new house, the master bedroom is on a separate floor with a large Bathroom, dressing room and terrace - a perfect place to retreat to after a long day. But to up the cosiness factor, the bedroom's hard feel needed to be softened.
We did just that by introducing a lovely Rugs, a Billie lounge chair and lots of gorgeous textiles. The Beds were given a truly luxurious hotel look with the help of our Popular Headboards Art, with a whole bunch of tactile cushions and stunning Bed linens.
The Living room became an important place in the house. Pernilla wanted it to feel inviting, cosy and the furniture to be really comfortable.
The Billie Sofa was the obvious choice with its soft teddy fabric, incredible comfort and generous size. The Fluffy Rugs in flokati wool also felt right with its long and cosy pile.
Pernilla's top priority was for all her children to enjoy and thrive in the house.
It was important for the interior design to be appealing, especially to her daughter Bianca, so that they would feel comfortable and visit often. We therefore chose to furnish for a large family with a focus on space for the whole family.
The dining area of the house was also extremely important to decorate properly. Combined with an older, antique Dining table that was already in place, we chose the Coco Dining chairs - a big favourite here at Sleepo! These, along with the Tables, created a homely feel where you would happily sit for hours on end.
Big, lovely Rugs, in soft colours, were also the focus. We chose to go for a few Rugs but in large sizes to give each room a more impressive feel.
Two of the rugs that now adorn the Casa de las Estrellas floor are the Fluffy flock rug and the Copenhagen Wool rug.
