Karup Designs Triple Latex futon is an 18 cm thick mattress made of cotton and wool with a core of latex foam and horsehair. By adding 5-10% polyester to the cotton, they ensure a higher density and thickness of Karup Designs futons compared to traditional Japanese futon mattresses. However, it still retains all the good qualities of a traditional Japanese futon.

The Triple Latex futon provides a soft sleeping surface. The cotton in the futon adapts to your body and provides support, the wool helps create a good climate, the latex insulates all movements, while the horsehair insulates against cold and at the same time dissipates heat and moisture. The mattress has a stylish quilted surface.

Please note that all Karup Designs futon products are handmade, so small differences in size and weight may occur.

Materials

• Cotton: Due to the qualities of cotton, it has been used in futon mattresses since ancient times. It adapts to the contours of the body and supports it along its entire length. Cotton absorbs moisture produced during the night and during the day, air can circulate and evaporate the moisture. The cotton in Karup Designs futon mattresses is a completely natural material.
• Latex: The raw materials used in the production of latex are the milk obtained from rubber trees. Thanks to its elasticity and softness, it adapts to the body, and its structure allows the mattress to be continuously ventilated. The material has many advantages: it is dust-free, hygienic, very ergonomic, heat-insulating, breathable, durable, and long-lasting.

Care Instructions

• Be aware that a Futon mattress requires a little extra care compared to other mattresses.
• We recommend using a mattress protector and sheets to cover your mattress to keep it looking nice.
• The mattress is not water-resistant.
• Use a dry cloth to wipe the mattress if needed.
• It is important to flip the mattress occasionally to allow the material to "breathe".
