Care Instructions - Tatami
Tatami material must be kept dry to avoid moisture and mould. We recommend wiping your tatami mattress only with a gentle, damp cloth and not using any harsh cleaning solutions. You can vacuum in the direction of the weave. Vacuuming against the weave can damage the material or cause dirt to seep in. Make sure to choose the lowest setting when using a vacuum cleaner.

Tatami mattresses are sensitive to moisture, avoid leaving rugs or other covering materials on top of a tatami mattress as it creates a damp environment that promotes mould. We recommend cleaning and airing out the tatami mattress regularly. Dry and sunny days are best for airing out tatami mattresses.
