Stormi Wool Rug Beige 300x400

Stormi Rug from Sleepo Collection is an elegant handwoven rug that combines modern design with natural materials. The irregular shape with softly undulating contours creates a lively and dynamic expression, making Stormi a perfect choice for those who want to give the room a subtle yet impactful transformation. The beige hue provides a warm and timeless feel that blends in with Scandinavian interior design and complements both light and dark furniture.

The rug is made from a carefully balanced mix of wool and bamboo silk, two materials that together create a durable, long-lasting rug with a soft surface and beautifully subtle sheen. The natural properties of wool make the rug warm and insulating, while the bamboo silk adds an elegant lustre and supple structure. The handwoven production in India gives each rug a unique character and enhances its authentic feel.

Care Instructions for Stormi Rug

Shedding – a natural part of wool
Stormi is made from a blend of wool and bamboo silk, where the natural properties of wool may cause shedding, especially in the beginning. This is completely normal and usually diminishes over time. To reduce the amount of loose fibres, you can shake the rug before use.

Dealing with spills and stains
If liquid spills on the rug, it is important to act quickly. Use a spoon to gently scoop up the liquid and then blot up the remaining moisture with paper towels, a dry cloth, or sponge. Avoid rubbing, as it can damage the fibres. Avoid using detergent or soap as they can dissolve the natural oils in wool and make stains harder to remove.

Cleaning and vacuuming
To preserve the appearance and lifespan of the rug, it should be vacuumed regularly. Use a nozzle without brushes and vacuum in the direction of the pile to protect the surface. Remember to vacuum both the top and the floor underneath the rug. The underside of the rug should also be vacuumed at least once a year. Avoid using robot vacuums as they can damage the edges of the rug.

Protection against sun fading
Direct sunlight can fade the colour of the rug over time. To maintain an even surface and avoid uneven fading, it is recommended to rotate the rug regularly.

Rug pads and underlays
To reduce wear and extend the lifespan of the rug, it is advisable to use a rug underlay. The underlay can be trimmed to fit the rug's shape and provides increased comfort and floor protection.

Professional cleaning
For a thorough cleaning, professional rug cleaning is recommended. This helps preserve both the material and structure in the best way.

The Stormi Rug is designed for indoor environments with a consistent temperature around 20–21 degrees Celsius. In these conditions, the material maintains its shape and structure best. In warmer indoor climates, around 23–24 degrees Celsius, it is good to know that the material reacts differently depending on the temperature. A consistent temperature helps the rug stay beautiful over time.

About Shedding: Wool rugs shed, especially those with a pile. This is completely normal and a characteristic of the fibre. Shedding may be most noticeable when the rug is brand new. However, there are no guarantees that shedding will decrease over time. Vacuum the rug regularly with a brush nozzle to remove excess fibres from production. We also recommend shaking the rug before use to remove excess wool.
