Northern Butterfly Wall lamp Brass

Butterfly Wall Lamp from Northern is a decorative wall lamp in retro style originating from 1964. The lamp was designed for Arnold Wiigs Fabrikker and later manufactured by Høvik Lys before being relaunched in 2008 by Northern as a tribute to Norwegian design history. Butterfly combines simple, geometric form with sophisticated light diffusion that gives the room a warm, indirect glow. This type of indirect lighting in Scandinavian design creates a pleasant atmosphere, whether the lamp is used alone or in a group.

With its elegant proportions and subtle character, Butterfly works equally well as a single focal point or in horizontal and vertical constellations for a more architectural effect. The modern colour palette enhances its visual expression – the shades subtly shimmer when the light falls on the lacquered surface, adding both function and decoration to the room.
