The Birdy Floor Lamp from Northern is an iconic series of table, wall, and floor lamps originally designed in 1952 in a modernist style. The series was produced and sold by the Norwegian electrical company Sønnico in Oslo for many years, quickly becoming a favourite among design enthusiasts. In 1954, the Birdy Table Lamp, then known as "s-30016," was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal at the Milan Triennale.
In 2013, Northern relaunched this design classic, carefully preserving both the original form and the functional features that made Birdy a sought-after product from the beginning.
Birdy comes with a cable length of 200 cm and an integrated on/off switch. The lamp uses an E27 socket and is compatible with LED light sources up to 11 W, making it a sustainable and energy-efficient choice for modern homes and office environments.
