Spring 2023 offers a natural colour palette with white and beige as a base, but is also mixed with springy, fresh colours - where colours like blue, yellow and pink are in focus. The strong cobalt blue colour remains highly topical, while other shades of blue, such as the light sky blue, have become increasingly visible in many of the spring collections.
Playful colours in pink, sunshine yellow, peach and even bright red create a lovely spring feeling and go well with slightly more retro-inspired interiors that have taken on a clearer role.
When it comes to materials, natural materials continue to dominate. Ceramics and glass are still important, especially in interior design and preferably with a matt, exciting texture. Small pieces of furniture and lighting in stone also continue to feel right.
Wood in various models and tones takes up a lot of space, while ribbed surfaces and playful, bulbous shapes are also a trendy favourite. This is often combined with soft textiles and light-coloured wool rugs with undulating patterns, tactile structures and reliefs.
Curved, bubbly details and furnishings in irregular, organic shapes feature heavily in spring design collections.
Scandinavian simplicity mixed with Japanese minimalism also continues to dominate. Low furniture, contrasts between hard and soft materials, black details and straight lines combined with round shapes are some examples of this style.
