Washing instructions for percale duvet covers
Percale is a durable material that we recommend washing at 60 degrees centigrade. Percale duvet covers can also be tumble dried. For best results, we recommend taking them out of the tumble dryer before they are completely dry and hanging them up. If they are completely dry in the tumble dryer, the risk of wrinkling increases.

1. What is percale and how is it different from other cotton?
Percale is a woven cotton quality characterised by its dense and cool weave with at least 200 threads per square inch. This makes the fabric smooth, durable and crisp, unlike regular cotton which can be softer and less tightly woven.
2. Is percale good for warm nights?
Yes, percale is perfect for warm nights as it breathes very well and has a cooling sensation against the skin. This allows moisture to be wicked away effectively, keeping you dry and comfortable during the night.
3. Do you need to iron percale duvet covers?
Percale can become slightly wrinkled after washing, which is normal for tightly woven cotton. If you want a smooth bedding, you can iron on medium heat, but many people appreciate the natural, crisp look even without ironing.
