Care Instructions

• Vacuum the rug on both sides and the floor underneath regularly. Never use the extended brush when vacuuming and adjust the vacuum's strength. Avoid vacuuming the rug's edge/bindings or fringe as they may get damaged. Rugs with pile should be vacuumed in the direction of the pile.

• The rug has an unlined back that may be slippery on the floor. We recommend using rug underlay for grip and floor protection.

• Rugs with long pile need regular brushing to maintain their appearance. Use a wide-toothed comb.

• Wool rugs may pill, especially those with pile. This is normal and a characteristic of the fibre. Pilling may be more noticeable when the rug is new. However, there are no guarantees that pilling will decrease over time. Vacuum the rug regularly with a brush head to remove excess fibres from production. We also recommend shaking the rug before use to fluff up the pile and remove excess wool.

• Rotate the rug in the room regularly to ensure even exposure and wear.

• Always address minor stains promptly. Blot wet stains with dry paper towels.
• For dry stains, gently scrape from the edges towards the centre. Dampen an uncoloured cloth or sponge with lukewarm water and mild soap. Foam the solution with lukewarm water before applying. Do not rub the stain as it may become harder to remove. Blot up the liquid and repeat until the stain is gone.
• Avoid using strong chemicals for home stain treatment. Tough stains should be handled by a professional, preferably soon after they occur to improve fibre cleanliness.

• Always take your rug to a reputable laundry for professional flat washing. Classic Collection rugs should not be machine or dry cleaned.

• All new rugs have a distinct odour that will dissipate over time. Airing or vacuuming the rug will help the odour disappear more quickly.
