About Stoneware & Care Instructions
Stoneware is a commonly used material for tableware. Considering the manual work involved in Serax's production process, small colour differences and irregularities can often appear in the glaze. In their opinion, these imperfections contribute to the unique appearance of the stoneware. Each item is unique.

Serax's stoneware can be cleaned in the dishwasher. They recommend using regular dishwasher tablets (and not 3-in-1 tablets) and a temperature of up to 65°C. Water softener salt (like regeneration salt) and too high temperatures can damage the glaze. Do not place the porcelain too close together in the dishwasher to avoid minor vibrations and collisions that often lead to the beginning of larger damages. They also recommend keeping stoneware and metal (like pots and cutlery) separated in the machine. Dark scratches can occur on the stoneware after contact with metal.
